Join the CQY's Greening Initiative and the Queens Green Alliance on projects to green our community!  We are continuing to work throughout the building to green our facilities. We recently received grants from both NYSERDA and UJA Federation for energy efficiency upgrades:  a complete lighting retrofit for the building, motion sensors in much of the building, temperature controls, and plumbing work.  We also will be replacing heating units in the central building with high efficiency equipment.  This work will not only save on costs, but will also reduce our use of both entergy and water. 

As a community agency we believe that taking responsibility for our environmental impact derives from our deepest Jewish values.
