Membership at the Central Queens Y is available to all who wish to participate in the agency's programs, support the agency's growth, subscribe to its objectives and abide by its rules and regulations. Membership is for one year only. To save time and avoid embarrassment, it is the agency's policy that prospective members present certain documents at the time of registration as proof of their membership category. Couples who apply must present their marriage certificate. Single-parent families must document their status. Proof of age is also required for teens and young adults. Out-of-town college students must present their college I.D. card.

* Membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Building Tours

The Central Queens Y welcomes prospective members to take escorted tours of our facilities. No unescorted tours are allowed.

Membership Cards

Each CQY member is issued a membership card that must be scanned at the first floor reception desk each time the member enters the building, and given in at the Health & Fitness reception desk on the lower level. Please report lost cards to the office immediately. Showing your membership card is part of a security system designed for members' safety. Please respect this and cooperate with the staff. Those not carrying a membership card may be denied admission. Non-members enrolled in CQY programs are issued a course card as identification, which must be presented to gain admission to the building.

Guest Usage Rules

Plus, you'll never have to be bothered with a renewal bill, as the CQY will automatically keep your membership current unless you tell us otherwise. This requires a minimum 12-month commitment and a 30-day notification to cancel, in writing.

Members who allow their membership to expire will have to pay non-member rates.
