The news media is in the middle of a revolution.  Old certainties have been shoved aside by new online entities such as WikiLeaks, Politico and The Huffington Post.  Where, in this rapidly changing world, is the future of great journalism?  Is there a difference between a reporter and "just anyone" on Twitter?  Who manages the news, or should it stream freely, unimpeded by editors?  Behind this debate is The New York Times, and the inside story of its attempt to navigate this new world, embracing the speed of news on the internet without straying from its commitment to accurate reporting and analysis.

David Folkenflik is NPR's award-winning media correspondent, whose stories are broadcast on shows such as All Things Considered and Morning Edition.
